We started with a simple mission: to give Brazilian players a Sports Betting and online casino experience that truly works the way they need — with Pix, in Portuguese, with human support, and with the games they actually want.
678rio exists to connect football fans, poker players, Live Casino enthusiasts and sports bettors to a platform that was built with them in mind — not adapted from another market.
678rio wasn't born in some distant corporate lab. It was built by people who have followed football since childhood, who have stood in line at a lottery shop to play the Mega-Sena, and who came to realize that the online betting market needed a platform that truly speaks the Brazilian language — not a product translated from another market, but something built from the ground up with Brazil as the starting point.
The name 678rio carries that identity. It's a nod to the country most passionate about gaming in the world — and to Rio de Janeiro, which embodies the festive, competitive, and vibrant spirit of Brazil. From day one, the mission was clear: make simple what other platforms overcomplicated. Deposits had to work via Pix, not through international banking systems buried in red tape. Support had to be in Portuguese, handled by people who actually know football and casino. Withdrawals had to hit your account in minutes, not business days.
Over time, 678rio grew. New categories were added based on what Brazilian players actually wanted: live betting with over 500 events per day, a Live Casino with professional dealers streaming in HD, poker with weekly tournaments and buy-ins starting at R$ 10.00, blackjack with dozens of variants, and a tips & predictions section for players who want more context before betting on the Brasileirão Série A, Copa Libertadores, or Copa do Brasil. Every addition was driven by what users asked for — not by what was easiest to build.
Today 678rio covers football from the top national and international competitions, basketball with a spotlight on the NBB, volleyball from the Superliga, MMA with full UFC coverage — including events featuring Brazilian fighters like Alex Pereira and Bia Bezerra — and e-sports with CS2, League of Legends and other titles popular in Brazil. On the casino side, partnerships with providers such as Evolution, Pragmatic Live and Playtech ensure the catalog offers international-level quality and variety.
What sets 678rio apart day to day isn't just the catalog — it's consistency. Pix works around the clock. Support responds quickly. Odds are competitive. Live Casino tables have real dealers. Poker tournaments run on schedule. It sounds basic, but it's exactly that combination of things working well together that builds a user's trust in a platform.
678rio also takes responsible gambling seriously — not just as a legal obligation, but as a core part of what the platform stands for. Deposit controls, self-exclusion, loss limits, and under-18 protection are all available and fully functional. We believe a player who gambles within their means and enjoys the experience in a healthy way is a player who will stay with us for years — and that long-term relationship is what we're here to build.
